2017 was another full year for product development on the Digital Dining front. 2017 brought 73 new enhancements and 344 product improvements. Some of the largest enhancement areas where in the EMV space and also with new auxiliary products like guest list, CRM email marketing, heartbeat reporting and more. Below is a full list of enhancements for 2017.
Enhancements
Point-of-Sale Program
You can now use the @TIME_TO_BE_READY and @TIME_TO_START_PREP tokens to report the dates of future orders.
On sites that do not use commissions on tips, the @TIP_AUDIT token now excludes the column (and values) for commissions on tips in report layouts.
You can now set a POS register to display menu items in the Order screen sorted by person.
When the POS prompts for a card number other than a credit card number (such as a staff ID, loyalty ID, or gift card ID), the FreedomPay device can now scan and pass the swiped card’s number without encryption.
You can now generate Credit Card Batch Reports for batches of transactions processed with Datacap EMV transport types.
In the POS payment screen, we have modified the label of the Print and Stay button to display either ON or OFF to inform users of its current state.
We have added the “Automatic Select Person Group” key to the SystemTT.dbf file.
We have added the “Print New Check When Person Group Changes” key to the SystemTT.dbf file.
We have added two new keys to the SystemTT.dbf file, “Times a day talk to DDHLSRV” and “Retires talking to DDHLSRV”
We have added the @MENU_USER_FIELDS and @MENU_USER_FIELD_ tokens to the prep slip and check layouts.
We have added the EMV Device Location setting to the POS Settings.
We have added the @PROFITCENTER_SALESORIGIN_ token to the Profit Center Report layouts.
We have added the Declare Cash Tips per Check register option to the Setup program.
Setup Program
When defining a special price discount, you can now set it to use the Marked Item: Once and Marked Item: Each selection methods.
We have added the @PAYMENT_SIGNATURE token to the Receipts layouts.
We have added the Loyalty Add Card and Loyalty Remove Card check option functions to the Setup program.
In the Device Type Maintenance window, we have extended the maximum allowed time out period from 99 seconds to 9999 seconds.
We have added a new parameter to the Loyalty Lookup check option function that enables you to set what information the POS will display after running a successful search for a loyalty customer.
We have added four new interval tokens that enable you to add check and cover counts for specific intervals into report layouts.
We have added the @TIPS_GIVEN_AUDIT_ tokens to the Time Clock Slip layouts.
Back Office Program
We have modified the Print Slip utility by adding controls that enable you to search for checks based on time range, check name, receipt type, and other search parameters.
We have added the Payroll Cost Export utility task to the Utility Task Maintenance window.
You can now add and edit shifts in the Time and Attendance Transaction Maintenance window.
We have added the Menu User Fields check option function to the Setup program.
Credit Card Server Program
Digital Dining now supports the Beanstalk Gift transport type for gift card service.
Sites using the Heartland EMV transport type can now swipe non-credit cards on a PAX S300 PINpad device, and the POS will receive, recognize, and process the card numbers properly.
We have updated the list of PINpad devices you can use with the Datacap TSYS EMV transport type.
Digital Dining now supports the Global Canada transport type using Datacap NETePay for EMV.
Digital Dining now supports the TSYS EMV transport type using Datacap NETePay.
Digital Dining now supports the Worldpay EMV transport type.
Digital Dining now supports the First Data DSIPDCX transport type.
We have added the Edit w/o EMV Prompt tip mode to the Receipts Definition Maintenance window.
Digital Dining now supports the First Data EMV transport type.
Frequent Diner/Delivery Program
We have added the Adjust Loyalty Rewards register option to the Setup program.
Sites using the Heartland EMV transport type (with the PAX S300 PINpad device) can now perform incremental authorizations for EMV-enabled credit cards.
Loyalty Service Program
Digital Dining now supports the Synergy transport type for loyalty service.
Digital Dining now supports the Rewards+ loyalty and gift service.
Web Service Program
We have replaced the Hardlock Server and Hardlock Update programs with the Digital Dining License Service and the License Monitor utility.
Caller ID Server Program
Digital Dining now supports LAN-based caller ID service.
Installation and Conversion
We have updated our credit card security protocols to implement .NET 4.5 and TLS 1.2.
